Eden of Necessity
Artist: Jun'ichi Suwabe
Album: Suit CD Vol. 7 - Auel x Sting
Genre: Anime

Waii! Sting's image song! Sung by Jun'ichi Suwabe himself! Doesn't he have the bestest voice? -^^- Yeah. I'm absolutely in love with this song. I love it so much *.*

Opens with a nice drumroll to catch your attention! It's not exactly "upbeat", some might even call it slow. Think T.M. Revolution's Heart of Sword. In any case, it's decent-paced and you don't think of it as slow with the drums and everything. This one is definitely different than Auel and Stellar's image songs. It's not a ballad and is sure to keep you awake with it's nice rhythm and notes.

Not sure you want it yet? Scroll further down and you'll find an [incomplete] radio rip that my friend, Hoshi, gave me. It only takes about a minute or two to download on the slowest connection [mine], so it's a nice way to sample the song first.

Yep. The instrumental version of the image song. Maybe not as fun as the original, but still good! Especially if you like instrumentals! Listening to this, you realize that the melody is actually more mellow than you think in the original xD You can hear drums, guitars, and every other instrument there is in this thing. You can also attempt singing Eden of Necessity for yourself without Jun'ichi Suwabe's voice throwing you off. He has random inserts here and there, mostly for the chorus, but that's all. Nice -^^-

You must all be wondering how many version I have at this point *laughs* Don't worry, this is the last one xD For now ^^ It's an incomplete radio rip of the image song that my friend introduced me to~ It goes 1:26 into the song, so it's quick to download, even on the slowest of connections. The song's a little muffled and the volume's decreased, compared to the real thing, but it's a recording. What do you expect? xD

Wheeeee! A favorite instrumental of mine! Gundam series have the best music -^^- I like the rhythm of this one too. It's pretty fast and keeps you awake. Features violins, drums, and guitars. I'm not sure what else ^^;; But it's a nice combination and I love it -^^- This was played for the first time after Stellar, Sting, and Auel finished killing everyone in the hangar and went to steal their respective units. Literally started after Auel said, "Sting" and he answered, "Let's go!" -^^-

It was also featured during the attack in episode 46 when Sarah's henchmen all came out and started shooting at Athrun and peoples. Couldn't they have chosen another song? I want this one to remain with the Extended >.<

GAIA x CHAOS x ABYSS
Artist: Toshihiko Sahashi
Album: Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny Original Soundtrack 1

Ooh! Another favorite of mine! (Well, I like anything dealing with Sting ^^;) After a little while, it does get a little repetitive, but it's still nice, all the same! I love the rhythm of this one~ This one is played for the first time after Gaia, Chaos, and Abyss are stolen, piloted by Stellar, Sting, and Auel.

ONE DAY
Artist: Toshihiko Sahashi
Album: Suit CD Vol. 7 - Auel x Sting

Probably the most mellow out of all the background music that deals with the Extended. I'm not entirely sure if this one is theirs or not, but since it is found on Auel x Sting's CD, I'm assuming yes xD

It's a very pretty piece that I don't think was played in the actual series. You think of peacefulness and tranquility when you listen to it. Judging by the title, I think it is named that for their hopes of seeing a future. "One Day" makes you think ahead, think of what's to come. Maybe this song signifies the peace that the three Extended wish could come to them one day. I'm not sure. That is my analysis. Download it for yourself and see what you think ^^

{ Others }

These are songs that have absolutely nothing to do with Gundam SEED Destiny or any other Gundam series, for that matter. However, their lyrics, when looked at closely (and if you have a crazy imagination like me ^^;), you can see how they can fit with certain characters and their themes. Songs listed here are ones that I have found to fit Sting Oakley's feelings. Hopefully, this list will grow longer as I continue my search. Enjoy~ -^^-

SCREAM
Artist: GLAY x EXILE Single: SCREAM
Genre: J-rock
| Download | Lyrics |

Bwuhahaha! The first stanza of this song reflect on Sting's view on his life. He doesn't care much about his own life, just accepting the inevitable outcome (death).

The second stanza is the one printed on the layout. Sting doesn't know what he seeks in this lifetime, but knows the world is made up of lies and fabrications. Nevertheless, he does know that he wants to protect those special to him; Auel and Stellar.

Next, the song moves on to say how battles continue onwards. "All the threads connecting us are cut." This line reflects on how his memories of Stellar are taken away after she supposedly dies. His memories of Auel were probably taken away soon after and now, he doesn't remember anything. Nothing connects them any more. Time just passes for him from this moment on with no real significance.

Yeah... You get the idea. This song is perfect to describe Sting's emotions. How lost he feels because of his lack of memories and lack of life, really. He doesn't know anything about himself except for his name and the people around him, so he wants to protect them. But when their memories are taken away from him, he feels more lost before and nothing really matters any more. No pain is felt. He just searches to recover things precious to him, to prove his worth.
